Simone Spence's motto and advice to parents who have
futilely been trying to collect their child support is:
"Don't Get Mad Get Paid"(tm)!!!
Simone Spence is a family woman, 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week. Her love for her family propelled her into becoming an
entrepreneur and a crusader for families for fairness and justice
in the child support system. Simone says that she pushed
forward for her own justice and victory not just for herself but
for all of the other women who could not do it for themselves
whether it be because they did not have the inner strength
or because they did not have the same resources.
Simone discovered many years ago that the child support order
that she had essentially wasn't worth the paper it was written on.
Surprisingly to her, the courts did not seem all that interested
in helping her to correct what seemed to be an obvious wrong.
Her need first and foremost to have a fair and appropriate child
support order, and secondly to know how to collect it is one which
led Spence to a new career and a new calling. While working
to achieve her social and legal justice she also unearthed a desire
to help others facing a similar situation.
As the devastating numbers of children and parents affected by child
support evasion became more evident, Spence began the push for
parents to know their rights under the law. Stepping into the spotlight wasn't in Simone's original plans, nor was becoming a victim of child
support evasion. Simone stepped up to the plate. Today Spence
educates parents and attorneys alike on child support recovery laws
and family rights. She also has an interest in working with teen and
young adult females to foster self-respect and responsible behavior.
